Pale Blue Eyes

Motorik, but it soars rather than barrells forwards. Don't know if that makes sense. Listen, I'm no expert, but when I listen to it I think of bands like TVAM and Toy as well as Broadcast at times. Maybe a bit of Doves and Slowdive, too. Electronics, shoegaze, komische, et cetera. It's really good. Originally from Devon but now done what most right-minded people do and moved to Yorkshire.

British Birds

Class act from Chorley. When I listen I get The Beta Band but less meandering and they crank it up a few notches to great effect. Bit of Jack White kicking about in there, with Eels and Grandaddy maybe as well. And then the added benefit of really good harmonies. Had them on at Bingo Fest recently and they were great so having them on again as that's the sensible thing to do.
